New and Emerging Ways of Understanding Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety disorders, which include generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorders, are the most common mental health disorders, affecting approximately 18% of the population. In this talk, Dr. Chandra presents a new model of understanding and addressing anxiety, emphasizing that anxiety should be considered as a symptoms rather than a disease. She will also discuss possible new treatment approaches for managing symptoms of anxiety, focusing on natural and holistic options. Although this talk was sponsored by the Autism Research Institute, it is applicable to anyone interested in learning more about emerging research and integrative approaches to anxiety disorders.
