Documentary Captures Life with Chronic Illness

Filmmaker Jennifer Brea’s story will be familiar to many of our patients: in the middle of a vibrant and high-achieving life, Brea becomes suddenly ill with symptoms that leave her essentially house-bound. Doctors are largely unable to help, and in some cases suggest that her debilitating symptoms are psychological. Ultimately diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Brea chronicles life with this illness in her documentary Unrest, released last year. She invites viewers into her own health journey, and into those of people around the world affected by this disease.

Unrest has won awards at major film festivals, including Sundance and SXSW. Visit the website for more information and ways to view.
